An important source of information about new writers and their work comes from the unsolicited scripts that we receive, and so we welcome scripts from UK writers and consider all scripts sent to LLT. If we decide not to take a script further, we will inform the writer by letter, and return the script with dramaturgical feedback (providing an SAE is enclosed). Once a script has been passed on to the reading panel, we will aim to respond to the writer within 8 weeks. It is important to stress that most of LLT's productions are conceived through commissioned plays, however if there is potential in an unsolicited script LLT will consider further development.
